The key to the reels' ease of use lies in the exclusive SCUBAPRO branded spinning discs located on the central spindle; the discs remain stationary while the reel spins and the line is released.

As a result, the reel does not spin out of control like normal reels do, allowing for a more secure grip while casting out the line. By squeezing the reel discs together, you can adjust the line tension, creating the disc brake effect.

This reel is made of injection molded fiberglass reinforced nylon and features a stainless steel shaft and bolts. The body is designed so that it can be easily attached to a carabiner.
